Just wondering if updating the VBA version of ALGLIB to Rel 3 is still on the agenda, and if so is there a target release date?

Hard to tell... It was planned for the first part of 2011, but there was a lot of unexpected delays and projects with higher priority. I just afraid to tell something definite :(

Sergey / Doug,

Is there a code repository where the current version of code resides?

I would be interested in assisting to update the code from V2.6 to the current version. The only thing is that my C++ skills are pretty much non-existant, though I can follow a recipe pretty well most of the time.

Is there a list of what has changed between the current version of VBA and the most up to date version for other languages?

Regards

Andrew

Hello!
1. no, there is no public repository
2. it is planned to develop 100% automatic code generator which will wrap C++ code with VBA interface. Codebase is so huge that your solution (to write some code manually) won't work.
3. I think that we should wait until I will have time to develop code generator (unfortunately, this job can't be delegated to someone else)

Sergey,
sorry for asking again and for warming up this old thread:
regarding (2): what is the current status of the VBA <--> C++ wrapper/interface that you mention? Can you give an exptected release date?
Thank you!
John

It is hard to tell, but I hope that it will be done during this summer, somewhere in July-August. I want to port to 3.x both VBA and FreePascal/Delphi, almost simultaneously. This project is not very hard, but it requires several weeks of work without interruptions - something which is hard to find :)
