Hello, all
I downloaded ALGLIB C++, built it with the AE_USE_ALLOC_COUNTER definition, and ran the tests. test_c runs just fine, but test_i gives me a
FAILURE: alloc_counter is non-zero on end!
at the end. What does that mean and how do I fix it?

Cheers

Ilektra

Thanks for the report! It is confirmed as bug - memory leak in one of the internal ALGLIB objects. It is present only in one of the new functions, introduced in 3.7.0, and this bug will be fixed in upcoming 3.8.0 (expected in less than month).

Meanwhile you can fix it as follows:
1. find ae_shared_pool_internalclear() function

2. find following lines:
> /* destroy seed */
> if( dst->seed_object!=NULL )
> dst->destroy((void*)dst->seed_object);
> dst->seed_object = NULL;

3. replace them by:
> /* destroy seed */
> if( dst->seed_object!=NULL )
> {
> dst->destroy((void*)dst->seed_object);
> ae_free((void*)dst->seed_object);
> dst->seed_object = NULL;
> }
