Stuck at one container short while half the lobby seems to be stomping through the same building? That is the Medical Merchandise experience in Arc Raiders, especially if you are checking ARC Raiders Items for quest supplies between raids and wondering why this Lance task feels slower than it should. The quest is simple on paper. The messy part is knowing which medical rooms actually count.

Medical Merchandise Arc Raiders Quest Basics
What Lance is asking you to do
Medical Merchandise is a Lance trader quest built around searching medical containers across three maps. You need 2 containers in the Medical Room at Research and Administration or Research and Development on Dam Battlegrounds, 3 containers inside The Hospital on Buried City, and 2 containers in the Exam Rooms at the Departure Building on Spaceport.

Squad progress is shared, which is a bigger deal than it sounds. If a teammate opens a valid container, it can count for you too. Personally, I would not solo this one unless I had to; splitting rooms with a duo or trio cuts the risk and the time almost in half.

Why this quest is worth clearing
Lance quests are not just errands for spare bandages. They push you into medical supply routes, biological data objectives, and map knowledge that pays off later. Medical Merchandise also sits inside the broader trader progression loop, where quest chains can eventually point toward stronger unlocks and blueprints.

One warning: Expedition resets can wipe quest and skill tree progress if you choose that account reset path. That does not make the quest pointless. It just means you should think before resetting if you are deep into Lance, Shani, Apollo, or Celeste chains.

Best Route for Medical Merchandise in Arc Raiders
Start with The Hospital on Buried City
The Hospital is the cleanest leg of the quest. It sits in the upper-middle part of Buried City and is marked with a red loot icon, so you are not hunting for some tiny unlabeled closet. Any valid medical container inside the building can count, and there is no strict room requirement here.

1) Enter The Hospital and listen before looting. This place can look quiet right before a squad comes down the stairs.

2) Split floors if you are in a group. One player checks ground level, another moves upstairs, and a third watches exits.

3) Stop after 3 valid containers unless the area is completely safe. Greed gets people killed. Annoying, but true.

Handle Dam Battlegrounds carefully
The Dam Battlegrounds step is rougher because the Research and Administration or Research and Development area is a high-loot zone in the lower-middle section of the map. Expect Arc enemies, player traffic, and awkward angles. Honestly, I treat this as an in-and-out job, not a full loot run.

From the southern edge near the red map boundary, use the outside stairs to reach the upper floor, enter through the rear, move through the first room, turn right, then follow the hall to the end. The Medical Room should be on the left. Another route starts at the elevator shaft: zipline up, take the right hallway, and look for medical icons by the doors.

Do not rush Spaceport Exam Rooms
Spaceport causes the most confusion because the Departure Building has several rooms that look medical enough but may not count. For Medical Merchandise Arc Raiders progress, you specifically need the Exam Rooms, not just any hospital-looking space.

Enter the main entrance, find the broken two-part staircase, and climb to the first floor. Turn around, move straight through the hallway, then take the right-hand corridor. In the darker roofed section, check the left side near the standard hospital room. The right room often has experiment benches and white chemical bottles.

Medical Merchandise Tips, Mistakes, and Quick Checks
Common mistakes that waste raids
The biggest mistake is over-looting. The objectives are 2, 3, and 2 containers, not “clear the whole building while everyone hears you opening drawers.” Another mistake is assuming Spaceport medical decor equals quest credit. From what I have seen, that is where most failed runs happen.

A quick plan before you queue
Pick one map per raid unless your squad is geared and confident. Bring enough healing to survive a bad hallway fight, but do not overload yourself like you are moving house. If the first target building is already loud with gunfire, rotate away and come back late.

Side note here: newer players often think trader quests must be finished in one clean session. They do not. Take the easy container progress, extract, and bank the win. If you are short on time, check market resources, route notes, or item availability through U4GM while planning your next run, then queue with one target in mind. Small, boring progress is still progress.
