Hi all,

I have been successfully using RBF interpolation from 3D to 3D data. I wonder if I can use it for higher dimensions, in particular from a 4D domain to an image set in 3D? Can it work?

Thanks for your attention,

Hector

Hello!

No, current version of ALGLIB does not support 4D RBF models. Can you tell me about physical meaning of your dimensions? Just want to understand is it really frequent situation when you work with 4D.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I have 4 sensors electrical responses that should be mapped to a 3D response from another sensor and the mapping is from 4D to 3D because the inputs would always be these 4 responses. The experiment is related to color measurement. In this field, the number of dimensions can vary depending on the number of leds that you use to "read" color.

I suppose I will have to test how Scipy works using RBF functions for this fitting.

Thanks again,

Hector
